National Operatic and Dramatic Association

Boston Operatic Society is based in the town of Boston in Lincolnshire, England. Founded in 1964, we have gained an enviable reputation for the high quality musical productions which we stage twice yearly at Blackfriars Arts Centre, Spain Lane, Boston. All productions are entirely produced, cast and staged using local people, and we are always keen to meet anyone who would like to become involved with us, whether backstage or treading the boards.

Our 2007 productions were successful at the NODA awards - West Side Story was "Highly Commended" and Fiddler on the Roof was judged the "Best Musical in Area 5 (Lincolnshire NODA region)" in 2007.

Do you want to be a member of Fagin’s Gang?

We are auditioning at Blackfriars Art Centre on Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th May from 7.30pm for our November 2009 production of Oliver!

If you are interested, and you are a boy between 11 and 16 (girls will also be considered), please ask at Blackfriars box office for an audition form, or download one to complete. Audition material can also be downloaded below.

Please Note: all forms must be signed by a parent or guardian.

Auditions for everyone else will also take place at Blackfriars on Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th May at 7.30pm. Audition pieces for all parts and chorus are available from the theatre foyer.

Position of Secretary

Our current honorary secretary will be giving up the position at our annual AGM and we are seeking a replacement.
